Advent Worship

Join us for worship each Sunday this Advent:

November 29, December 6, 13, & 20 @ 9a. Then join us for Christmas Eve worship, December 24 @ 4p.

Advent @ Home

Our pastors have created an At-Home Guide for Comfort & Joy this Christmas season. This includes many liturgies, prayers, and ideas to create a meaningful and sacred space in your home this Advent.

Advent @ Home

We invite our congregation to find the Comfort & Joy of Advent this season:

  • Gather weekly for worship on Sundays and Christmas Eve. Join us from home. Light a candle, comment on the videos,  share them with your friends. If you’ve expanded your ‘pod’ to safely include family or friends outside of your home, you might gather for a worship watch party.
  • Set aside time each day for God, reflecting on the promises of the coming Christ-child. We have created a church-wide Advent devotion, each day reflecting on a beloved hymn. Sign up to receive these emails here.
  • Give generously! God is not only abundant to us but provides abundant opportunities for us to share what we have been freely given. Perhaps you’ll give of your time by shoveling a neighbor’s driveway or church sidewalk. Maybe you’ll be generous with talents, making sweet treats to share with staff at a local care center or sharing a recording for Advent Worship. Perhaps you’ll be generous with your finances, whether through a Christmas offering to our church or dropping coins in red buckets around town. You can make a commitment to write and say more thank you’s and I love you’s. There are many places in all our lives that need a touch of grace and forgiveness, and praise be to God, you are here to be generous with both.

Amidst all of the change in 2020, this remains: the Church’s mission is proclaiming the coming Christ. We hope you will participate, and come to find comfort and joy this Advent,

Daily Devotions

We invite you to spend some time contemplating hymns this Advent. We are offering the opportunity to receive daily emailed devotions with reflections on hymns written by our pastors and by our congregation! We will also be sharing the devotions via social media channels.
